Plagiarism Policy
The Journal of Nanoscope is firmly committed to the promotion and publication of original, high-quality, and scholarly research. The journal follows a strict zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism, and the Editorial Board takes all necessary measures to ensure the integrity and authenticity of published work.
Authors are fully responsible for ensuring that their submitted manuscripts are entirely original and that all sources are properly cited. Any form of plagiarism, including the use of others’ ideas, text, or data without appropriate acknowledgment, is considered unethical publishing behavior and is not acceptable by the journal. This includes the reproduction of even a single sentence from another source, including an author’s own previously published work, without proper citation.
The Editorial Board reserves the full authority to reject a manuscript at any stage of the review process if minor or major plagiarism is detected. Furthermore, the journal may withdraw or cancel a publication if a valid plagiarism complaint is received after publication.
The Journal of Nanoscope strictly adheres to the plagiarism policies and guidelines of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. As per HEC regulations, the overall similarity index must be below 20%, with similarity from any single source not exceeding 5%. Manuscripts exceeding these limits will not be processed.
Authors are strongly advised to ensure that their manuscripts are plagiarism-free prior to submission by using reliable plagiarism detection tools, without uploading the manuscript to any public repository. Any attempt to manipulate, conceal, or misrepresent plagiarism will be considered a serious ethical violation, and authors shall bear full responsibility for any consequences or actions taken by relevant authorities. In such cases, the Journal of Nanoscope and its publisher shall not be held responsible for the authors’ unethical practices.
